Mis dos pueblos fronterizos
One Saturday morning, a boy prepares for a trip to the Other Side. It's close, just down the street and past his school, the twin town of the community where he lives. His father drives his truck over a bridge to cross the Rio Grande and reach Mexico, where they are greeted by a giant statue of an eagle. His visits always include lunch at his favorite restaurant, a talk at Uncle Mateo's jewelry store, a cold popsicle, and a trip to the pharmacy. At their final and most important stop, they spend time with friends seeking asylum and deliver much-needed supplies to them.
