El traje nuevo del emperador

The Emperor's New Clothes is a short, rhymed adaptation of the famous story by Hans Christian Andersen, which tells of the deception of two rogues towards a greedy emperor and exposes, in this way, how far a lie can go not to feign ignorance.

The illustrations with extravagant patterns and textures wonderfully manage to characterize the emperor as an eccentric and funny character who has not yet found the perfect suit, making him susceptible to the lies of rogues who promise him a majestic invisible wardrobe that only fools cannot see.

In the end, a child is the only one who escapes social pressures and is able to point out the truth to the emperor: he is naked in front of his entire people. With mischief and humor, this story teaches not to be arrogant and to openly express opinions, without fear that they are different from those of the rest.
