Esta es la historia de Ema, una joven chilena de 12 años de edad, que se mueve para la República Dominicana. Conecta hermosamente los problemas de inmigración y ecológicos, en un mundo y clima muy diferentes del suyo. Emma necesita adaptarse a su nueva realidad. Sus aventuras comienzan cuando junto a un grupo de compañeras, decide salvar a un animal parecido a una rata, el Soledonante. A la mayoría de los adultos no les gusta y no están interesados en su extinción.

This story of Ema, a twelve year old Chilean girl that moves to the Dominican Republic, beautifully weaves together issues of immigration and ecology. In a climate and a world very distinct from her own, Ema needs to learn to adapt to her new reality. Her adventures begin when she and a group of classmates decide to save an animal similar to a rat, el soledonante. The majority of adults do not like it and even less interested in its extinction.
