English Description:

Ema has an easy name but very difficult hair, like a tangled river. Three letters are enough to write her name, but to untangle her hair there is no comb that is enough. Suddenly Ema appears on the scene: big, disheveled, with dirty knees and sagging stockings. She does have the stature to put things in order.

Teacher Comments: "Great comical book that many students may be able to relate to. Students can follow along the struggle Ema has in getting her hair done everyday by her mother. With awesome illustrations, students can use this text to learn about the central message/moral of the story. This book supports personal narrative writing and stories from personal experiences for students to create."
