Luz María Del Valle is a journalist and writer. She was born in Santiago de Chile. She lived 11 years in Spain, where she received her first literary prize, and back in Chile she studied Journalism and then Children's Literature and Reading Development. In 2008 she published her first novel, Yacay en las tierras del buen viento. Currently, in addition to writing, she does workshops for children and educators.
